Finally. I caught the stupid script that keeps slowing me down here and sometimes locks me up. This thing takes forever sometime to finish loading. Today it caused this error message.

Re: Bird in Flight I am not at all satisfied with these results. I don't know yet why I get crappy shots of a beautiful bird, even fairly close range, when the bird is a darker color bird. I have done pretty good with my sea gulls and egrets, but my hawks and other raptors just don't come out...

Here is a bud on a small tree. Again, absolutely no post processing to this image other than crop and resize.

Here are some images that have had absolutely no sharpening, or any post processing at all, done to them. These are as shot and simply cropped 100% and then resized to 1000px on their longest side. This is a closeup of the jaws of a rusty bench vise of mine.

@Vixen Check this out. This page has an interactive lighting placement thing. You can click on different positions of lighting (1:00 o'clock, 3:00 o'clock etc) and it gives you the result real time. There are several of these on that page using different types of lighting as well...
