    I like my new Nikon 70-300 f4.5-5.6G VR.

    Some people say the Nikon 70-300VR isn't sharp at 300mm. I think it doesn't do too bad for itself, here is a shot I took yesterday. Handheld and zoomed right out at 300mm. The second pic is a 100% crop of the first one. I suppose it could be a bit sharper, what do you think ?

    Help decide between 2 lenses - URGENT

    I have found my 70-300VR to be quite sharp at 300mm. I have tried taking photos at 300 and another at 200, and then cropping the 200 shot to get the same view as at 300. The 300 shot is always better. Here is a shot I took zoomed right out at 300mm, this was taken with a D3100 by the way.

    A couple of weeks ago I noticed a couple of dust spots on a blue sky shot at f16. Yesterday I decided to get out my generic blower and see if they would move,,,, big mistake. I ended up with about a thousand spots, not sure if they came out of the blower, or they were dislodged from the mirror...
