I need a quick answer, guys, on how many numbers there are in a D300 serial number. I also need an American model and a Canadian model to see if there is a difference in the first 3 numbers that denote country designation. Thanks. Jack

I was out in my backyard, enjoying the sun and watching the birds, when I spotted a photo opportunity! I just call this series.....Shadows.

Thought I'd throw in a couple or three shop photos, as the weather is not co-operating at all lately! I used my 28-105 lens on macro setting and my SB700 flash on remote mode.

While I was out and about today, taking pictures of last nights snowfall and just some pictures in general of the local flora, I met this nice lady named Rosanna. Unfortunately, she shoots with a Canon, but I didn't hold that against her. lol :) We had a nice chat about photography in general...

Well! Just discovered this today. I now have a thin red vertical line running down the left of my D40! :( Apparently, this is called a burned pixel and needs to be pixel mapped. I'm wondering if will be worth the cost of getting it fixed. I'm thoroughly pissed off with this new development! :(...

I know...the picture sucks, but that's not the point. I wanted to capture the first snow fall of the season, so this is my back yard and the snow that's still falling. That tree in the left foreground is an apple tree! :)

Just arrived this morning! My studio strobe/modeling light. Not the best in the world, but hey...it's all I can afford! lol I'll be trying it out in the days to come, and I shall give a full report on its efficacy.

These are just a sampling of the 35 shots I took today of one of my beautiful neighbour who graciously volunteered to be my model. All taken in full sun (low in the sky) in a nearby local park.

Instead of watching TV or staring at the computer, I decided to go to a softball game a buddy of mine was playing on. Took a few shots, watched the game, and came home. It was COLD out there! It's the wind, eh! Anyway....here's 3 shots of what I saw.
