Nikon 200-500/5.6 VR Lens....... post your photos!

Mine came today. I was only able to take a few test shots, but I can say I'm very pleased. The Nikon box it came in is HUGE. But, so is the lens. I called a neighbor to help me lift it on to the camera. I'll be looking forward to using it on something worthwhile.

    D3300 Infrared Conversion Photos

I received my D3300 back from Life Pixel. I got the 590nm filter. I took some test pictures today and I'm very pleased. It appears that all of my lenses will work without an apparent "hot spot" and that includes they not-recommended Nikon 35/1.8 and Tokina 12-24/4. Those were two of my...

New 24/1.8 rated as Superb by DXO and better than the 24/1.4. The rest was a rant and I decided to delete it.

TRADE Sony E-Mount 35/1.8 OSS for Nikon Lens

SOLD Sony E-Mount 35/1.8 OSS We take such a beating trying to sell lenses. I figured I'd try something different. I have a LNIB Sony 35/1.8 OSS lens that I can't use. It's about 8 months old and is still like new. It comes with the original box and all the original paperwork. I even have a...

    I met David Busch tonight.

I attended my weekly Cleveland Photographic Society meeting tonight. The guy sitting behind me walked up to the front of the room, and it was David Busch. He's a local member and I didn't know it. He's a very nice man and he actually gave me a copy of his Nikon D810 Guide. I don't have a D810...

SONY NEX 3N Infrared 650nm Conversion

I liked my G10 IR so much that I had my APS-C (DX) NEX 3N converted to 650nm. Again, I am very pleased with the results. If anyone is interested in the G10, send me a note. These were all taken within an hour of receiving the camera.

    Burned on eBay

Just a heads-up: I needed a new UV filter and I prefer the B&W brand. As you probably know, they are German-made and are regarded as high quality. I found a filter on eBay and made the purchase. It was advertised and pictured as a B&W filter. The filter arrived today. The box was a typical B&W...

The Ruins of the Variety Theater circa 1927

Earlier today, I went on the Cleveland Photography Society's field trip to the old Variety Theater that was build in Cleveland during the 1920's. It has been long abandoned and there is a current drive to restore the theater back to its original glory. People say the theater is haunted, but I...
