This is a small skipper butterfly. They're quite small and moth like but are classified as butterflies.

Nice shots @Felisek, the moon one is very cool. I think they're house martins not swallows but they're both tough to capture in flight, I've not managed it successfully with either yet.

This was an incredibly patient heron, statuesque in its pursuit of a fish ;)

This is the closest I've managed to get to a Kingfisher with my camera but it was still too far. Heavy crop, high ISO and slow shutter due to the poor light mean this shot is very soft but I've got something to work on at least. Will go back when the light is better.

My first attempt at this using adjustment brush to desaturate everything but the eyes and beak.

Following the trend of close up head shots. Apologies if I've posted either of these in this thread before.

I'd say this is my best June shot, perhaps not my favourite but probably my best.
