Today's walkabout netted a couple of beauties from this year"s proliferation of lilies. First a Stargazer, not usually found in local gardens. This was in a churchyard And one more lovely lilly.

Went to a greenhouse the other day

Here is my try at a moon shot. Since I'm unsure my exif shows I will say that I had to go to F27 at ISO 100 with shutter at 1/15 to get anything I could recognize. Lens was55-300 at 300mm, hand held with vr enabled. What could I have done besides using a tripod to improve this shot?

Testing out my new {to me} 55mm 2.8 micro ais. Quite pleased with how I can fill my viewfinder to the exact degree I want it to be. Not finding the lack of autofocus that big of a deal.

Do not see too many red lilies. This 55mm micro lets me get ad close as I need to get to fill the viewfinder. It fills a gap in my lenses that the 50mm l.8 cannot match.

Still testing my 55mm micro. It's not just for closeups.
