Monday, Sept 28, 2015. Heavy drizzle this morning and hardly any change in leaf colour yet.

My first Autumn leaf. This is my favorite season and will leave on a weekend odyssey to my favorite out door site, Alpine Lake,this coming weekend just to soak up the beauty of the season, might even take some pictures.

The nifty 50 does not always do what you want. This photo, taken downtown would have been better with a wider angle lens. However, this photo of our subway car is, I think quite adequate.

I am with you @nikonpup. If i ever have the opportunity to go back it will only be to the North Rim.

Posted on my thread but am posting it here also for fans of this lens. The amazing thing about this photo to me, was that no post processing was done to it. It was simply turned into a jpeg to upload to this site.

Great idea @roy 1961 Since all the photos will be in one folder, I just need a program to blend them together. Sorta of like those little cartoon flip books we had as children. And to @ Blacktop I baby my camera and it does not really have that many shutter activations on it, so I hope it will...

The object of this new thread will be to photograph the same scene almost every Monday morning for a year. I will stand in the same spot, use the same lens, my Nifty 50, with the same aperture setting,f8, and my default ISO of 400. No filters will be used and the photo will be edited, but not...

Busy week with woodworking installation and very little time to take photos. Still, I was able to capture one nearly perfect yellow rose. And just for giggles tried converting just in Aperture

We are coming up to my favorite season so it is time to start doing landscapes although the trees here have not yet started to turn. So I give you a field of soybeans.

Had out my longest lens today and just wanted to see what it would do on flowers. Was pleasantly surprised.

Off to the zoo today to make some new friends and another tried the same lesson some other subjects and was pleased with the result and a sort of abstract study of light
