    Files corrupted.

Went to print a photo that a friend sent to me and that I hd edited to tweak it for her and discovered that the file had been corrupted. Red highlights were showing in the light areas of the photo and blue highlights were showing in the shadow areas. I seems to be correctable but it takes a...

Price of refurbished D7000 and D7100

Was just looking thru the Adorama website and notice that a refurbished D7100 cost less than a refurbished D7000. What is up with that? On Nikon store site it is the same thing. I have half a notion to call on Tuesday and find out.

    RON's A ROUND TUIT THREAD

Alright, I was working in my cabinet shop on Tuesday morning when out of nowhere, a chisel wielding maniac attacked me and sliced open my left hand requiring a trip to the ER and requiring ten stitches. I could rail against incompetent people having access to sharp instruments but i am sure I...

Sidelined most of week with hand injury but managed to get one photo I kinda liked yesterday. Do not chase the little critters much but this one would not go away.

    RON's 52 in 2015

Well, I lied. The death in our family Has taken precedence over photography this week but I did get a chance one day to play with my 60mm micro so one more look at my cannas.

That 90mm does a great job for you @wev. I had one years ago but could only manage it on a tripod. My 60mm is light enough to use hand held, at least on most days.

    RON's A ROUND TUIT THREAD

We are today a house in mourning. We have lost my wife's beloved brother Cecil. Born into a hardscrabble existence in the coal fields of West Virginia 90 years ago and tempered in the steel mills of Pennsylvania he went on to become a world traveller. He will be sorely missed. Here he is in...

    RON's A ROUND TUIT THREAD

Thanks @Lawrence. I am gratified that you liked so many of my photos. I notice that you are much more adventurous than I in the many different subjects that you tackle and I have noticed a steady improvement in your work in the relatively short time you have been on the forum. We all hit a wall...

Some photos convert well, some do not. This one I thought had enough highlights and shadowing to make the grade.

    RON's A ROUND TUIT THREAD

Stopped by my friends Al and Marsha's the other day. I like to stop there when they are not at home and stick silly lawn ornaments in their yard. They are just so amused when I do that. Growing in a pot on their back patio though was this lovely yellow cannas.

    RON's 52 in 2015

The past week has been consumed with chasing the perfect shot of the cannas I've grown outside the door to my apartment building. At least one photo will grace my walls later this year. Here is the latest candidate. I do promise though not to bore you with any more my horticultural...

Thanks Don. U.S. Old folks like to think we aren't completely senile. Although I must admit I do not know enough about pp to know if these photos could be softened up in pp but I suspect they probably still could. It might be useful for @Iansky to try just for his own information.

    RON's A ROUND TUIT THREAD

A trip to the Cathedral of Learning on the Pitt Campus is quite a treat. Their hospitality rooms, which also double as class rooms feature furniture and art from many countries and give us a glimpse into cultures we might otherwise no nothing about. The structure itself, built during the Great...
