Stopped last Friday to see my friends Al and Marcia and came away with a couple of shots from their lovely garden and growing in their small fish pond

While at the music festival the other day, I was lining up a shot when this fellow jumped in front of me. So I photographed his best side.

More birds from my trip to the Aviary. The 18-140 is pretty limiting for bird photos but the Aviary lets you get close enough to actually get some photos. O course, bigger birds are a little easier.

My architect friend has a bizarre sense of humor and talked me into posing for this ridiculous photo.

In West Park, on the North Side of Pittsburgh is a reflecting pond, presently under repair, with this rather graceful footbridge spanning the pond.

A house across from West park that I admire And directly across the street fro the National Aviary is an interesting building which might or might not be an apartment house

July 3rd, 2016. An unfortunate choice of stone have rendered many monuments unreadable. A very popular type of monument, shaped like a chaise lounge with a well for a blanket of flowers, reminds me of the line from Omar Khayyam----- "Ourselves must we beneath the couch of Earth...
