Japanese Maple in Spring colors

I avoid portraits almost religiously but at a birthday party on Sunday I felt obligated to get a picture of the birthday girl, 1 year old Lillian Grace

Stopped by at about 8:30 to cloudy skies and this image Went to check on my Magnolia tree and returned 15 minutes later to sunny sky, so which image should have the daily honors

The weekly check of my Magnolia tree shows that the leaves are mostly now unfurled and getting bigger. Soon i will have to check twice a week to not miss the the blossoms.

Of course, a trip to the Phipps is not complete without a visit to the orchids

In honor of Ken Burns great series on the National Parks, I submit this photo taken near Jackson Hole a number of years ago. In keeping with the theme of wilderness undisturbed, I erased several tourist who were originally in the frame.

And I can not let pass a photo of my all time favorite cactus.

Too the max, Roy. They just would not sit still I do not know how you and @wev manage it. Birds may just not be my thing.

The Phipps Conservancy has some good bronzes and these 2 are in their main Atrium And this one graces one of the lesser halls

Birds! I can photograph birds! And I do not even have one of those fancy long lenses. and check out this little guy
