A couple of shots from a Tamron 70-250mm F/3.8-4.5 I got for about $16. Just walking around the apartment complex on a gloomy day.

Bad weather and late at night. Trying out some close up work. From one kind of shooting to another. :) Using 50mm F/2 and 9mm extension tube.

Working full time and fighting bad weather all week long, I couldn't shoot that much. Only thing I could come up with is this squirrel laying flat in the tree.

Just received my Tamron 200-400mm and trying it out for the first time. Not so hot in manual focusing. :) Hopefully my D7000 that should be here by the weekend will focus better than me. Da plane! Da plane!

I was fishing today. Only thing of interest was two things. A Turkey Vulture, but I didn't score any good shots. And this fly that landed near me. He was a good size version.

This isn't quite as pretty, but this tree nearly went through my kitchen window on Saturday. The guys were out today removing it. I also didn't know where else to post this. :) .

Lake Wichita here in Wichita Falls, TX wasn't more than a big puddle as of 4 days ago. We had some heavy rains in the past few days and filled it back up in a hurry. We are currently in a stage 4 and was about to go to stage 5 drought. A lot of people were out checking out how much the lake...

Not sure if this qualifies as "texture". But, I kinda liked how it came out. :)

Probably my best bird in flight photo so far. Poor lighting though due to storm activity. But I shot him anyway. :)
