Re: Weekly challenge aug 13 -20 Since I've been doing a ton of travel for work lately, how about my rental car getting ready to go full "Dukes of Hazzard" into Whiterock Lake? :D

    Rocketfish Filters

I agree with @TonyD315 on this. I've not owned a Rocketfish filter, but have seen enough of their electronic gadgets that it doesn't rate highly on my name recognition scale.

    ND Filters and "Vignetting"?

Thanks @hark ... that looks like the other advantage to going with a fixed-stop rather than variable-stop ND ... that Hoya looks like it would also work with the lens hood.

    Post your waterfalls

Finally got to play around with an ND filter on my zoom too, in order to capture what I've been trying to do with just a CPL before...

    ND Filters and "Vignetting"?

Hopefully not the wrong sub-forum, but looking for some input regarding graduated ND filters. While getting some test shots with the 10-24mm over the weekend, the 77mm Polariod adjustable ND filter was providing some distortion of vignetting when I tried to use most of the darker settings. It...

    Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G

Here's a couple images from my first hands-on with the 10-24mm... @Bill16, this guy asked me if you could give him some guitar lessons? He's hoping to get his hands on a Gibson SG sometime soon. :) It was so hot, people were reflective outside... Coming or going, the DART rail station in...

Here's my entry ... My first B&W, and hopefully no one has any money left in this bank after they boarded up the windows and started having trees grow from inside. :)

    Blue moon halo

@cwgrizz ... I was having problems last night until I switched to spot metering, and also had to turn off auto-ISO. I'm on my phone now so can't see the exif from your pic, but either/both if those may help ya.

I'm just surprised any of y'all let me hang around here on a regular basis. :D I've been going back and forth between the D610 and D7100, but decided to stay DX until I had the glass for an FX body. Besides, the wife has started itching to shoot too, so this helps us both out.

Got a few good pics (IMO) today that I'll be posting later tonight, but first wanted to post a wide angle from the Nikon 10-24mm ... This is the inside of my car, windows tinted and sun shade up...

Blacktop's project 365, better late then never thread.

Oh @Blacktop ... thanks for not posting the Borden's dairy picture. All real cajuns drink Brown's milk since it's the official milk of the New Orleans Saints. :D

Looking for my first prime, not sure which

The 85mm is probably good for portraits, but I've struggled getting buildings framed with my 35mm prime which is what drove me to look for an UWA lens. I agree with @Eyelight, check to see what focal length you use most now for an idea of how much you use around 85mm today.

Blacktop's project 365, better late then never thread.

@Blacktop thanks for the dinner entertainment tonight! Me and my wife spent dinner scrolling through the flickr feed and talking over all the images. Great job!
