I took on a free gig doing headshots for a friend's dance team. It didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked. First round of shots were BADLY out of focus. I realized it before leaving and had them do a 2nd round, which was better, but still not right. I finally realized on the drive home...

After screwing around with the Tamron 28-300 and never seeming to get a shot in focus, I tried the Nikon 18-105 and seemed to get a better (albeit smaller) result.

Yea, this will save a ton of time monkeying and experimenting with different light settings. Went back out to try it. Better results, but still a work in progress. These were done without tripod, as I wanted a quick few shots.

Ok, 2nd shot at moon pic. Can't figure out why the focus won't work properly. I've done manual (infinity) and AF, but they still seem a little blurry. AF actually performs better. Might be my lens... or maybe my exposure time/aperture. Also got one at a longer distance.
