Nikon cameras in film and TV

I thought I'd start a thread to list the times we see a Nikon camera used i a movies or TV show. Today while watching an old NCIS, Tony was using a Nikon body with a 300mm f/4.0 telephoto lens. So I decided to look online and see if I could find a photo of him with a Nikon. I didn't find this...

How do you shoot? One eye open or both eyes open?

I've heard from several old school photographers who say that they open both eyes when taking a photograph. Michael Freeman, one of my favorite authors, claims that all the more experienced photographers shoot with both eyes open, including himself. I've tried this several times but it just...

    DK-19 on my D800

I put a Dk-19 on my D800 a few days ago and I think I really like it. I've read reviews that says they tend to fall off but so far it's held on just fine and when I tug on it, it doesn't seem to feel loose or that it wants to come off. Does anyone else use a DK-19?

Question on photographer - client issue

I've a quick question - when you're working with a client do show them individual shots as you work them up or do you wait and show them only after you've finished the entire shoot? TIA

Interesting read on Nikon's failed quality assurance & marketing dept.

Here's a nice read that sums up some of Nikon's horrible QA track record of the last few years. But something I didn't realize was that the D600 has a DX auto-focus system while the D7100 has an FX auto-focus system? Is that accurate? Nikon Quality Assurance and Marketing Gone Wrong

    Post your humorous photos!

This young and not-yet fixed male is about a half of second away from getting b-slapped (literally). If I would have only waited a second before pressing the button this photo would have a whole different look.

    The Old Wall

I think I like the color version better than the B&W's. And I hope you don't mind but I used your B&W image to show you what I meant by a more contrasty image and I tried to get as many zones as I could. I'm not sure I like it any better than your edits or not. In fact, I'm sure I like your...

    Pets/"Petography" Thread!

Good news! My little boxer's mast-cell tumors came back from the pathologist as being Stage 1 with well defined margins. Which means I'm stuck buying dog food for the foreseeable future... :applouse:
