Ive never been one to be precious about my gear. I know its built well and will survive most scenarios I can put it in.
To this fact I have recently taken it to a waterfall, onto various beaches, into 40 degree studios, doing a full wedding and everywhere in between. Here is some of my shots.
Just put the money down on this light !!
CANNOT wait for it to arrive! After going to Pinewood and shooting with it and helping Jason Lanier out with shoots I had to have one!
Shipping mid June !!
I went to the beach for a levitation inspired shoot. Whilst setting up the heavens opened so we took cover, after the rain stopped we got this shot.
Moody clouds, wind, still a little rain, high speed sync flash and a crystal ball :)
Some of these pictures are absolutely stunning and the technique to get them right !!

A couple purchases for me -
My Hard drive is getting close to full so it is time to get another one, however I have seen NAS drives and drives that are accessible from away from the house so I opted for one of those.
I have also been looking at and researching MIDI controllers for...
This was shot with a Godox 600BM Strobe however it could have been a normal flash as the key light.
The Hair light was a Yongnuo YN560 IV with the head zoomed to 105mm to make it a tight output but it was a bare flash with no softbox
I have added a small grad filter at the bottom to bring...
Yesterday was a long day!!
Within my area I have created a Facebook group/club called the "Creative Club". Within it I have Models, Photographers, Make up artists, hair stylists, jewellery designers and clothes makers. I had been planning a Steampunk shoot for around a month and it was D-day...
That could well be the case... However I was getting annoyed with the lack of sharpness at 2.8 compared to the Nikon (I have been spoilt by having a friend that I can use his gear as and when and he has one).
So when this deal came up I couldn't say no.
Plus I couldn't really wait to have it...
Tell you what ...
The D500 is quite good at this wedding malarkey too !!
Had a key light in the way of the Godix AD600BM with a beauty dish on the right and a bare flash set in the arch.
Been going back and forth between this lens and the 120-300 2,8 version and I cannot find the 2.8 version at a decent price for love nor money!!
So after a bit of haggling with the eBayer I ended up getting this lens for £325
Looking forward to it arriving, got to wait for him to get home to...
This new phenomenon that I have found that the D500 can take portraits needs to be explored a little more! Here is a shot from yesterdays outing with it!
Ever since I started this journey I have had a battery pack, portrait grip on the camera.
The D500 is the first camera I have used without one (due to thinking about buying genuine but didnt want to stump up the £450!!)
I finally settled with a Neewer one and it arrived today, instantly...
Ok so here is one ...
I have a D500 and I have a Microsoft Surface Pro.
I am going to be shooting a motorbike event and I want to pull the images straight away for people to be able to buy on site,
I have the printing side of it down I just need a quick way to get my photos from the camera...
