Its certainly on my shorlist! I'm leaning heavily towards the 400 vs the 180-600 for some of the same reasons you listed off. Thanks for sharing, I enjoy seeing your work!

I sure like seeing the exif data for some reason, I hunt for it, lol! It seems incomplete when it doesn't show up. Bummer the eagles got their exif data stripped. Nice shots tho! How do you like shooting with the 400? Do you find it too short for birds or by switching into DX on your Z7, is...

I kinda think it’s something they’ll still come out with but their focus has been filling the z mount road map. Now that there’s just the 35 f1.2(I think) to go, the roadmap is complete and they can focus on other things, (like an ftziii for example). I really doubt it’d be setup specifically...

Any differences probably wont show up posting these types of shots to the forum, plus the comparison shots were very un-scientific- not to mention, pre coffee. IRL, the z7ii will give better results at base ISO because its got a lower ISO, (64 vs 100) no AA filter and there are almost 2x more...

Very close. There’s no cheap plastic feel when you pick up the Zf. It surprised me how heavy it is, (in a good way) and the grip goes the extra step to make the two bodies feel similar but not the same.
