    105mm macro.

I want to get a 105 macro. I have been looking at the AI-S model. I do all my macro manually and I don't need the AFS series. What is the going price for that model? My 85mm DX isn't cutting it for me. Great lens but need more reach.

    trading in 85mm dx macro.

I am thinking of trading in my 85mm DX macro for either the older 105mm/2.8 or Tamron 90mm/2.8. Any suggestions?? The 85 is great just want a little faster and reach. Especially with 610. I might even add it to my 3100 as a package to sell.

I had spinal surgery over 5 years ago. 2 discs removed and a plate put in place.I knew things were not going to be perfect after. I returned to work 4 months later. Now, 5 years later I have arthritis building up on the good disc above and below. Today I have an MRI and on Tuesday I see the...

    My D610 comparison

I will be doing some comparison tests with my 610. This morning I took a 3 bracket shot. Here is a test for you. Which picture is HDR and which one is a single shot? Since the 610 has a wide dynamic range is I do believe why it only has 3 shot bracket.

Before i hit the order Button.

I know there are issues with the 600. But, I have no problem cleaning the sensor. Would you dare get the 600 over the 610. I see it is a few hundred cheaper and I see the refurbished on Nikon for 500 less. I got my 300s last year and had spot issues. I just cleaned it and it was fine.

    lenses

I have come to the decision to get the 610. I can get the camera with a 24-85 and 70-300 for around $2800 or I have been looking at getting a 35-70mm 2.8D instead. I already have a manual 24mm vivitar 2.2, a 35mm 2D,50mm 1.8D. Also a few lower grade lenses. My question is is how is the...

    D610 or d800

I got permission to get a new camera. I will have enough to jump into a 610 or do I wait and save the extra for the 800. The 610 sounds good. I have enough lenses for fx to start. 35,50,35-70,70-300, 24mm and 28mm manual. I would also sell my 3100 with the 18-55 for a few bucks. I will keep my...

Strange shots and unexpected shots while shooting macro

While shooting macro you sometimes catch a shot that throws you or surprised you caught the shot you did. In the first picture I was trying my hand at ants.( not so easy) I noticed this ant acting as if it got stepped on, rolling around. I got him in focus and took the shot. When I got to the...

I owned many point and shoots and a couple of Bridge cameras. I learned the basics over the years to shoot a decent picture. When I got my first Nikon over two years ago.( a d3100) I figured I would give this picture taking a go toward professional pictures to sell. I grabbed my 3100 and started...
