    Using the ML-L3 remote with the D5000

    To use the ML-L3 remote with the D5000 you must enable it via the Release Mode menu. To do this: Press the info button (lower left) Scroll down to the Release Mode menu (under ISO) Select the icon that looks like the remote That's it - the camera will now work with the remote.
