It's rare that Black-capped Chickadees will group feed. The two on the left are getting prepared to attack, and they did immediately after this shot. Maybe the ferocious wind driving the snow had something to do with it.

    Snow Storm

I'm about 200 miles from the coast. It started snowing here about 9:30 AM. The wind is ferocious and it's about 7°F, so most of the snow is blowing and drifting. I haven't had the need to worry about any snow removal yet. I've just been sitting here snapping shots of the chickadees and a bashful...

    My First Attempt at "Stitching"

We had a clear cold sky today, but I ventured out anyway. This is the view from the upper meadow on my farm into Vermont.

    Post your Hummingbird Photos

I've decided to post some of mine even though the photos pale in comparison to most of them in this thread. In my defense, I was very new to my camera when I took these, and I don't do much editing except to crop.

Post your barns and rural structures.

Some Amish people have started buying old farms in our area. They certainly are busy people. I see this as a good thing.

    Post Your Landscape Photos

A couple of the Green Mountains of VT from the NY side. One of the farm where I grew up and still own, from the top of the hill (The mountains in the background are in VT). And one of just a spectacular valley view, also near my home. The panorama is simply a cropped photo. I do NOT take...
