On December 21st, 2012, the sun did, in fact, rise. End of news-flash.

My new-to-me eBay 17-35mm f3.5-5.6 ED lens, with flash. Inexpensive wide angle zoom.

I don't know why I bid on it. I didn't need it. I have an 18-35mm f3.5 and a 24-120mm f2.8. Sometimes I do stuff that can't be analyzed with rationale. Well, when I was notified that I ended up with the highest bid at $111.00, I had mixed emotions..... I got the lens for half the going...

I converted an older color rendition to black and white.

In one of the posts, I read "Anybody can do a sunset." I thought it was a pretty shallow statement from someone who obviously thinks they know everything, probably about everything. Well, if that's the case, I've proved that I'm an anybody. I guess that's better than being a nobody. If YOU...

I heard that coffee growing, and coffee in general, will be come more scarce and expensive in the near future. I am an espresso addict and I would really miss good coffee, either by it not being available, or priced out of range. The article reported that coffee will become more like fine...

What is the attraction to DXO Optics? What does it do better than Photoshop or Lightroom? I have access to the program, but haven't discovered it's benefits over other programs.

I made the mistake of using canned air to spray on to my sensor filter. Did I say 'mistake'? Change that to big mistake. The can's contents were low and it spit some kind of liquid on to the filter. After that, my sensor looked spotted. That drove me nuts. Stupid error on my part and I...

THE FINAL INSPECTION The Soldier stood and faced God, which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, just as brightly as his brass. 'Step forward now, Soldier, how shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?' The soldier...
