Re: Don's Daily Dabblings Got a t-mount adapter for a very old 500mm Mirror lens I had many years ago for my olympus. $9 it was worth a shot. Here it is. put the adapter on and hand held it out the back door. The left is the 500 and the right is my 40mm. Follow the road up to the end to see...

Well tomorrow is the annual A-Day football game at the University of Alabama. For those that don't know what that is that is a spring scrimmage game inter squad game. It is also a big deal here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The game is free for all and they average a little over 100,000 people in...

Re: Stop Action Fountain in Lisbon Ok, I rarely use IE but it is up to date. I don't think I have every used it to go on this site though. I just checked and this is what I get. I think this is a job for Mr Admin Guy.

Well I finally set up my Zenfolio site with custom name last night. It was a little interesting to jump through all the hoops to get the name to resolve to the Zenfolio site. They don't make it real easy to find the instructions but once you do find them it is a pretty east task. I registered...

Re: Stop Action Fountain in Lisbon I use FireFox

I have been looking at Zenfolio for posting my photos and for posting some projects that will be for sale. I do have a couple of questions for those who use this site. 1. Does anyone have any experience with any of the partners for printing / delivering prints. Integrated Partners | Zenfolio...

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings This is more what I want from panoramas. There are time where you can't back up enough and you don't have a lens wide enough. Before you ask...No, I can't move to the left to get a better shot. There is a building in the way. This is on the main street in downtown...

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings One more from the D3100 August 2011 I had shot these in RAW but did not really have the skills to correct them back then. I am going to have to go back and reshoot this fountain now.

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings uncorrected

The day started off grey and cool but I did have time to go shoot anyway. Had to take the truck in to get something repaired that the Chevrolet dealer caused when they did a $500 repair on it last week. They were rather red faced after I had been telling them all week that it was their fault and...

That is not a still on a desk This is a still on a desk

Great shots again. The reflection in the water shots are very nice. Would have been much nicer without the leash but that is not good for the dog.

A couple of points. If you are shooting indoors with existing light then shoot in RAW + Fine and you can color correct so much better using the RAW. I shot some downtown at night recently and the difference is amazing when you correct the RAW shots. Uncorrected JPEG Corrected RAW

I keep waiting on one of the Floridians to shoot this.

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings Was going through some old photos tonight and found this one of my Mom and Dad in 1945. Tried cleaning it up a bit and it came out pretty good. On the other side of the dam is the lock and on the other side of the lock is a gold course. 18 years after this was shot...
