    18th Jan 2015 went out to Lake Skinner this morning, what a gray day to say the least, the sigma doesn't work to well in dim light, got to the lake at 7:30 it was 46 F, i am in my shorts and tee shirt, of course it cleared up as i left. Should have known from my first two shots..... sunrise

    i spotted the Kites just as i was about to leave the kestrel, these things must wait for the shadows to appear before they come out, i will be keeping an eye out for them now, the last sun rays hitting on big bear

    17th Jan 2015 a few from todays shot a little hummer heard this different bird noise and saw a reddish brown flying from the ground to the trees, followed it for a bit, turns out to be (according to my book) a northern flicker. damm branches!! a dog skull?

    @Vixen hard to tell from the shadows in the photo, but underside markings are similar to an immature male coopers hawk?

    16th Jan 2015 nothing great today, an extra long drive home today with traffic. i liked the sticker on the truck. i have been watching this tree hoping the hawks are going to re nest in it this year, think one is on the bottom branches, maybe a crow?

    14th Jan 2015 1st (male) Kestrel this year, i waited as long as i could, i like the way it is holding his own leg.

    @realuvsdolphins there are two egrets (some call it a white heron) the snowy egret smaller and the great white egret, thats the one i shot today, i think the snowy one has yellow feet?

    13th Jan 2015 drove past our temp river, which is on it last legs, probably dry up for the weekend, this egret was sitting there, love the reflection it made.

    dont know if this helps @sonicbuffalo but if the picture is posted larger than 1000 on the long side then the site would strip the exif from it.
