24th Oct 2016 well it looks like our long wait for rain is over, we got some AM rain, i never saw any in San Diego, storm to pass thru tomorrow again. We got our stream back and the run off ponds are filling up, hopefully get some birds at them now.

sun was gone now.

then we got this strange stuff falling out of the sky, lasted about 2 mins.

the other 2 birders went around to get in front of him with the sun at their backs, but he flew off before they got a shot.

spotted the first Vermilion of the "winter", albeit a juvie.

i think a Merlin, other birders said Prairie Falcon, i dont see the moustache and it could be a juvie???
