Great Horned Owl, some guy next to me (not in our group) fired about 10 burst of 5 shots at this, it never moved or opened its eyes in the 10 mins we stood there.

even cleaned up this is only so so, lots of Herons nesting in the Palms.

i asked the question what was the smaller bird in the top pic, i was told a Red Knot (new bird) looks more like a foggy gray knot. lol

11th March 2017 Left the house at 5:30am sun was trying to get up, temp was a nice 58 degF, beautiful clear morning. Got to Bolsa Chica via Denny's breakfast stop, Fog Sunny Fog Sunny and Fog, it didnt know what to do.

the hawk came back, guessing coopers?

hard to tell what length he was, about 3 ft in the open and he was still in the cactus plant.

i heard a strange kind of bird squawk and went to the back of the trees, a coopers/sharp shinned flew off, turned back to the path and almost walked over this. first gopher snake of the year.

someone forgot to take down the decorations. lol

10th March 2017. got my Sigma back, all cleaned up and dust free (for a while).

just shooting at anything to get in some practice.
