Well, I've never been one for napping, unless I'm really short on sleep, or sick. I spent most of my working life on an evening shift, not getting home till after midnight. I've adapted to getting up earlier since retirement, but still am not a get up with the sun person.

I always hate it in the middle of the summer when the sun doesn't go down until after 9:00 PM. I don't live in a northern latitude. The only upside for me is that in the spring, it's a little easier getting up to go on a photo outing and be in the field when the sun is coming up.

Already? I've been enjoying the sun going down well before bedtime.

What exposure mode are you using? If the camera switched modes, it could be that one of your buttons is programmed for a mode change, and you accidentally pushed it. I sometimes hit one of the FN buttons unawares on my Z8. Regardless of mode, you need to keep an eye on things when shooting...

Glad that worked out for you. Are you using any diffusion with the flash? I've been using the AK macro diffuser for a couple years now, and am very happy with it. There are lots of options out there from homemade to very cheap, to big $.

They will predate on other birds even when other options are available. I've seen eagles go after ducks here, even though there is no ice cover on ponds, rivers and lakes in this area. Or maybe they are just in the mood for chicken nuggets when they get tired of the fish sandwich.
