while chasing the Vermillion i spotted a red tail sitting below this nest, thru my binoculars i could see something furry, i thought i was a little early for chicks, so i walked over for a closer look, i think its a possum?? it never moved in the 5 mins i was there, so unless this is a possums...

Ferruginous Hawk, ended up seeing 3 today, 2 adults and a juvenile.

i wonder if this was the Hawk that dropped the Coot??
