Entry #2 Just another attempt to see if I have the "Bokeh" concept.

Bokeh, the term was new to me. I had to look it up on Wikipedia. Ha! The practice is new too. Ha! Entry #1

This is the jpg version out of the camera. I shot it RAW and jpg, but couldn't get it to post process using Capture NX D. I wasn't able to improve with the RAW file over the camera processed JPG. Thanks for your comments Oh, used tripod and remote release.

It is getting close to the deadline and I probably won't have time to do better, so............................. I guess I will have to guess what is in the lighted room.

@Chayelle, Sorry, my last comment was just goofing around, because I don't know what else to tell you to do. Didn't mean to confuse, just being a little frivolous trying to add a little humor to a weird problem. Again sorry for any confusion. I am really at a loss as to why you can't get it to...

@Marcel the full version of Capture NX D is free and has been since July 15. I know, I downloaded it after having Beta. It doesn't look like Nikon is going to charge for it (for now anyway. Ha!) If I can find the reference again, I will post it.

Today, tried for some close ground work. Still playing with the Nifty-Fifty(ish) game. I had always heard this called another name. but wasn't sure how to spell it. Upon doing a little research I discovered that it is called Waxy-Rushpea in this part of the country, however it has other names...

Ok, I noticed that yesterday I missed part of the front of the shirt for the color. Here is the corrected version.

Combined the two shot versions with "Poor man's PS" (Gimp). New meets old at the chicken yard nesting boxes. Ha! Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Still playing around -- Shooting and PP G'daughter looking for eggs at the chicken coop B&W version As always, comments good and bad are welcome. (Remember, I'm trying to learn--Key is "trying". Ha!)

Entry #3 Rain, then out come the turtles, bugs and weeds. Caught this guy eating bugs and getting sand on his face.

Took this for Nifty-Fiftyish, then noticed this Bug Shots without a Macro thread. I thought, why not. Ha! Hope this is OK to do. There are a lot of GREAT shots in this thread. How do you do it?
