    Backyard View

Thanks for your comments. I had the idea that the large bales stacked on the left would give a perspective of size. Here is the same picture cropped to get rid of the bales on the left. And one more that was taken at the same time with a slightly different perspective. Better or not? Thanks

    Mosquitoes

Living in an area where it is usually "Dry Heat", most times we don't have much problem with mosquitoes. This year it is different. We have had lots of rain and now mosquito swarms like never before (Well Korea did have more and bigger when I was there). Trying to take pictures during the...

    Capture NX-D Focus Point Question

Last night I was checking out some shots I had taken earlier and seeing which ones I wanted to PP. They were shots using the 70-300mm lense and I had a few of weeds with water droplets shining in the sun. I couldn't seem to figure where I wanted to crop them for the best focus on the drops. I...

    Post your Birds in Flight

Today on my walk to the mailbox, I noticed some hawks cruising in the wind so I had to give it another try. As with all some are better than others, and you can only imagine how bad some were that I discarded after you see these. Ha! #1

    Let's see some reptiles...

This evening I was out walking the dog around my place. It was just after the sun had gone down. Dog stirred this Mojave Rattler up. It is the fourth one on my place in three weeks. I guess it is that time of year. The first two shots were underexposed and required quite a bit of PP to get...

    Post your Birds in Flight

Looking through this thread, I can't begin to get close to the excellence of most of you and your skills. Today I had a CPL filter on my 70-300 to get some cloud-mountain shots and a hawk flew by. I started shooting, but out of the many shots only a couple are even close to being worth...

Three pictures, hand held bracketed. I only used two of the three, the plus & minus exposure. The post processing was done with Gimp. Below you will see the three - 0 + that I started with. All constructive comments will be appreciated. Thanks.
