Thanks @Marcel,I had looked at that but couldnt find a way of importing the file as is, so are your saying i have to decide on a file size and i couldnt find 14 bit,should i work with 16 bit as below and what does the 20.7mb meen is that what my 40mb is being reduced to.

I probably know the answer but have forgotten due to age. Ime shooting the D500 in 14 bit raw and getting files in the 40-50mb area,on transferring to ACR i get 8 0r 16 (i can choose) bit files arouind 20mb,is there some way i can keep the full file integrity in ACR.
