    I was walking next to a pond in Orlando Wetlands, and an Anhinga popped its head up from the middle of a maze of aquatic vegetation with a fish speared on its beak. Down the hatch it went.

    Some birds do this to cover their food so others don't get to it, but I've never seen a Jay do anything like this. Interesting.

    Back to Orlando Wetlands. A Roseate Spoonbill parent is feeding a baby in the nest. Baby Spoonbills are called teaspoons.

    So, Lorraine and I got back from Florida late last night. I have only just started looking at, sorting and processing pictures, but I wanted to let you know how friendly the alligators are there. In these pictures, one had a huge smile, and the other waved.
