Auto focus in low light is more challenging with the Z50 than my D7200 (similar focus type, separate focus screen as the 7500) it "hunts" more than the 7200. This would be more of an issue in a low lit club. In my personal experience low light is dependent on contrasting light with the Z50...- nikonbill

Welcome Aron! Its a personal call on the camera choice, I have a Z50 with the FTZ II (I only have F mount lenses at the moment) I also have a D7200. I seem to use both somewhat similarly.
