Day 347, 2013 - Memory Stick
Nothing great about this photo, nor was I going to try. I shared it because I found this old memory stick from my very first digital camera - a Sony. At the time, this was the BIG memory stick for the camera. A whole 64 mb. Just thought I would share this blast...
Day 346, 2013 - Man Wrapping vs. Woman Wrapping
My wife is Santa's primary wrapping elf. She goes way overboard every year and I think we have more money in present wrapping paper/bows/ribbons than the gifts themselves. I on the other hand have drawn the line and explained that I do not wrap...
Day 345, 2013 - Button
It's just a button. I was a little stumped for something to shoot. Saw this button on my extreme cold weather coat and decided to shoot it. So there it is... a button.
A few more from tonight.
Loved this tree.
The park as a whole.
Looking up through the tree right next to me I couldn't help but think this is what it must look like in space. My daughter thought it was stars.
I continue to be impressed with my D7100. This was shot at 10:00 at night, ISO 200, f/5, 55mm, 8" exposure, on the 55-200mm kit lens. No noise reduction.
Day 343, 2013 - Winter
I continue to be impressed with my D7100. This was shot at 10:00 at night, ISO 200, f/5, 55mm, 8" exposure, on the 55-200mm kit lens. No noise reduction.
Shot this of the Ogden Train Station upper hall. The building is 100 years old and was a player in the development of the west. A number of those early pioneers worked and died here and supposedly still haunt the premises.
I felt it just didn't have the look I wanted with its haunting...
Day 342, 2013 - Haunted Hall
This picture is from the upper level of the old train station. It is supposed to be haunted by the numerous people that have died here.
Day 339, 2013 - Christmas Lights
We have an incredible light display downtown, and this is not it. However, I wanted to get some practice in so I shot the neighbors lights.
Day 338, 2013 Fall Grapes with the Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 Di SP AF/MF 1:1 Macro
My Christmas present arrived today - 90mm Tamron Macro. However, I am not allowed to have it yet. The wife did let me shoot a couple shots with it to make sure it works. My five minute impression... light weight...
The baby is a little dark and red to me. However, monitors are such an evil thing that I would suggest getting a print done at a photography shop and you be the final judge.
Here is my edit. Lightened the shadows of the baby and brought down some of the red and slightly burned the suitcase...
I recently started using Nik Tools and to learn the program watched some of the free how-to videos they offer. Tonight I watched their video on Pro Sharpener 3 Output and applied it to a picture and had it developed before and after the Nik Tools. If you have not tried it this tools does an...
