Continued... Day 5 - Antelope Island State Park, Utah Now that I have had a little rest; here are some shots from the day. Buffalo - I was jealous. The wife had the 500mm and could darn near reach out and pick their noses.

    Moab Man 2014 Project 365

Day 5 - A Great Day Today, my wife braved the cold (sometimes single digit) to go out and shoot with me. Her pictures are improving and she is starting to figure out her way around her camera. Couldn't ask for a better day than one spent with my best friend shooting buffalo.

January 2014 Challenge - Storytelling and the Decisive Moment in Photography

Entry #1 - Slaying Dragons All us little boys have been there; slaying dragons with our stick sword and caught up in the heat of battle that you didn't notice you were being watched. Judging by the little jump and leg up in the air I can only imagine this must have been the death blow.

    nidding's first year of shooting - 365 2014

Re: nidding's first year of shooting The kit lenses often get an undeserved bad wrap. Part of it has to do with people starting out and they think the lack of sharpness and correct color has something to do with the lens because it's ONLY a kit lens. However, with experience, you can generate...

    Moab Man 2014 Project 365

Nothing hard in this shot. Found grape vine tendril. Went out at night with a flashlight, camera, and flash. Used the flashlight to have enough light to auto focus. Turned down the flash intensity very low. Backed up to increase depth of field as I'm shooting at night and didn't want to do a...

Day 3 - College of Woodchucks Some may call it a six-pack. However, the correct term for a group of Woodchuck is College. This middle of the night hunting trip went well as I managed to take down all six of them and am currently working on skinning each one. It's a tough job, but it takes tough...

    Moab Man 2014 Project 365

Day 1 - Robin Continuing to play around with the Tamron 200-500mm lens and I am falling in love. Definitely takes a new set of skills working such a large zoom, but the ability to bring things in is amazing.

    Project 365 2013 - A Learning Journey/Moab Man

Day 366, 2013 - My Final Picture of 2013 Whew! I'm finally done with this Project 365. Don't ask me how I ended up with 366 days; I'm an overachiever I guess. Anyway, I went out for my final shot of the year and got rewarded big time. First, I picked up a Tamron 200-500mm for the next couple of...

    Mallard Ducks

Went out to shoot at the frozen pond. Wandering around on the ice for a while when I heard these ducks tucked away in a dark hidden cove. It took me literally an hour and a half to sneak up on these ducks through the crunchy snow. In the end, I think it was worth it.
