Don't Be THAT Guy Next Time You Go Out To Shoot

Lol! I can't speak for @BackdoorHippie but I sure am proud of you! ;) Now I wonder how many photos of you will show up in their Facebook time lines! :applouse:

D750--Changing ISO & the LCD screen display

I have been making setting changes to my D750, but one thing that I can't turn off is when changing the ISO. I press the ISO button on the back and rotate the dial like I do on my other Nikons, but the screen turns on while doing so. Nothing is listed in the manual that I can find, and after...

    Question on Collage Poster

When creating a collage poster in PCC, once all the photos are laid out (with multiple layers), is there any way to add borders to each individual photo? I'm guessing not because I can't see any way to do it AFTER the photos are added to the collage. I know borders can be added prior to placing...

Then we push you to a Raynox 250, but that is for another day LOL

@Bill16 can't believe I'm going to suggest an additional piece of equipment for you, but have you considered extension tubes to use for macro work? Vello makes a set that is much less expensive than the Kenko set and still allows AF compatibility. Both the Vello set and the Kenko set maintain...

    Man's best friend a pho-dog-rapher?

Supposedly Nikon made a camera mount that is triggered by a dog's elevated heart rate. It uses bluetooth to transmit the heart rate to the mount then the photo is taken. Nikon's Dog Camera Mount Takes a Photo When Your Pup's Heart Rate Goes Up | Popular Photography

Is anyone using their AF-S 24-120 f/4 regularly with good results?

@BackdoorHippie uses that lens and takes superb photos. It should work quite well--in fact better than many variable aperture lenses.

Relight a candle through its smoke trail

Here's an unusual subject which would be fascinating to capture--first light a candle then blow out the flame. Then light the candle's smoke which will relight the candle. The Huffington Post states, The "trick" has a little bit of science behind it. When a wick is lit, the flame vaporizes the...

    Distracting Background

You can blur the background more and either lighten or darken the background to make the dog stand out. Here's a quick edit with more background blurred and darkened slightly although the edge selection could have been refined better. Added a slight vignette, too.

    Real or Photoshop Quiz

Has anyone checked out this quiz which wants you to select whether photos are real or photoshopped? Some of the photos are quite amazing. Admittedly I missed a few. ;) How about you? Real or Photoshop

    Do you straighten your photos?

    You are amazing, @BackdoorHippie !

    Do you straighten your photos?

And I bet you could do a much better job of straightening his second photo. Actually it looks like the top molding (perhaps it's called crown molding) isn't even straight on the wall, but the perspective still seems off. Is it me or is it the photo?

Flickr now is auto tagging my stuff.

According to Yahoo, we are supposed to be able to remove any specific tag name from all of our photos, yet it doesn't appear to work like they indicate. The auto tags aren't showing up in the list. The following info comes from this link...

Flickr now is auto tagging my stuff.

Hmmm...that's odd. I don't see them. I even Fav'd the photo and refreshed my page to see if it made a difference, but it didn't. No other tags show up below the ones you can see in this attachment.

    What's up with this?

The other day a member posted info on a video downloader for Chrome. Since I use Chrome and not Firefox, I decided to install it. Now I've been getting ads or warnings when I come to Nikonites (and ONLY when I'm on this site). They usually open a second window or tab when it happens, and links...

    Post your latest purchases.

Wow, what a rip-off for you Aussies! Using a converter, that amounts to approximately $40 US dollars. @Eduard recently posted this was on sale so I ordered mine thru B&H (backordered). But hey...it's only $12.95 US dollars--equivalent to $16.06 in Aussie money according to a converter.

Lightroom CC 2015 Exif data not showing correctly

Pete, I don't have an answer for you; however, after looking on the forum, it isn't just you. Take a look at @BackdoorHippie's post in the following thread--specifically the post with the hawk before & after photo (post #9). The before photo displays 'Corporation' just like yours, but since he...

Lightroom CC 2015 Exif data not showing correctly

And here is a print screen image taken from LR. When in the Library, there are pop up tabs near the top. When you click on Metadata, do you see the 'Camera' option? Just trying to see if your settings are the same as my version of LR 5.

Lightroom CC 2015 Exif data not showing correctly

I just checked out your Flickr photos. When clicking on the 'show EXIF' on Flickr, it doesn't list the camera model either. It simply states Nikon Corporation although the EXIF that shows automatically (BEFORE clicking 'show EXIF') lists the camera model. When I right click on one of my jpegs, I...

    Up-sizing in ACR

@BackdoorHippie used to have Elements although I can't remember which version. If he still has it installed on his mac, hopefully he can give you more info on the hyperlink.
