    Hark's 2015 and 2016

After seeing a pano shot this morning that @Blacktop took, I noticed the sky here was pretty ominous...so I just had to get out there and take it in response to his photo. ;) Pete, this one's for you. And since someone was getting a boat ready to go fishing, I waited a little bit. The sun...

    PCC update problem

Coincidentally I went back to look at the crop feature earlier this morning and found out that what I selected really wasn't working the way I remember the crop tool working in the past. As you can see in my image below, I don't have the options on the tool bar that you do. Whether it is a...

    PCC update problem

YEA!!! :applouse: That worked! It was under the wheel icon. I unchecked the box that says, Show Cropped Area. I've never had to change the default setting in the past. Thank you so much, Jake. I owe you a drink...or two or three! :very_drunk:

    PCC update problem

Thank you for this info, Jake, but I need to ask where to find the option to delete the cropped pixels. I looked at all the options circled in red. If anyone knows, I would greatly appreciate the help.

    PCC update problem

This is what I updated the other day. PCC, Bridge CC, and Camera RAW CC.

    PCC update problem

Fair enough. So I gave it a go. Still have the same problem. I believe in a different thread, I commented about also updating Camera RAW CC which I didn't even know existed. Makes me wonder if the problem lies in that update. I also updated Bridge. I started with a NEF that was never edited...

    PCC update problem

I took a few screen shots so you can see what I see while editing. It didn't work this way prior to the last PCC update. Here is the original NEF opened in Camera RAW. Then I sent the file to PCC and cropped it. Next I opened Lens Correction to apply a vignette. You can see the original...

    Nikon lens sale

B&H has a few Nikon lenses on sale--not the same sale that was on within the past month. No info on when these prices expire. NikonLensSaleJuly

    Deja vu, all over again

Question for you, Jake--is there any way to change the length of time for image review? Doing a quick online search, I found this for the D7100. Says something about the Monitor Off Delay option allows changing the duration for the instant review. Just wondering if shortening the length of time...

    Any Tilley Hat fans here?

Oh yes. I LOVE mine. You'd be surprised at the high number of comments I receive from strangers complimenting me on my hat. It is an LTM6. The brim on the front/back is 3-1/2" while the sides are 2-1/2". My first one was in olive. Then I bought a khaki one with olive underneath the brim. Amazon...

    PCC update problem

Yesterday I updated PCC so I could use some of the new features. Unfortunately I believe I've encountered a bug that I can't seem to fix. I've made many collage posters over the past few years so am knowledgeable about how to set them up. In the middle of cropping some photos down to 2x2.5...

    Cropping Ratios

Yesterday I took a few photos after church of a family who had a baby baptized. I've never really given much thought to cropping, but what ratios and/or sizes do you use for different types of photos? I will give them a disc of the images--only took 4 photos. These will be the extended family...

@jdeg are we supposed to have to pay Panjo fees when selling through Nikonites?

D500 Battery Drain with 3rd Party Lenses

Let me know if you'd like to meet up somewhere around Princeton--you can borrow my D7100 until a D500 becomes available. Never installed any firmware. The body has one of the Easy Cover silicone skins on it which can be removed--and I'm not worried about my D7100 getting some serious use. It...

    Telephoto with teleconverter

For those of you who use a telephoto zoom with a teleconverter, do you notice any play between the teleconverter and the body or the teleconverter and lens? Today I used my Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 with the used Nikon Teleconverter TC-14E II, and I noticed a little play after I snugged everything...

    Blacktop's 366 day trip through 2016

It's a very nice photo, but my apology as the first thing I thought of was the following. Do you know what it is? :beguiled:

    Fonts

How many people download fonts other than what is installed on your computer or via Photoshop? This article showed up through Bryan Peterson's Facebook page: Using Custom Fonts for Special Projects - Online Photography School There is a video on the page which tells about a web site called...

    70-200mm f/2.8 with 1.7 teleconverter

Thanks for the info. The teleconverter I got wasn't listed as coming with a pouch on Nikon's site. The pouch you listed might work, but I am hoping for something with a little more protection. The pouch I linked earlier is a neoprene fold-over pouch, but I would prefer zippered if possible. I...

    70-200mm f/2.8 with 1.7 teleconverter

I did wind up getting the used Nikon TC-14E II (1.4x) Teleconverter today. I'd like to find some type of small padded case for it so it doesn't move around inside my bag. I try not to carry more than I need at any one time. All I could find is this one by Op Tech. I am hoping to find one with...

    70-200mm f/2.8 with 1.7 teleconverter

For those who own the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VRii lens and a Nikon teleconverter, what are your thoughts? I'm most interested in either the 1.4 or 1.7 teleconverter but don't know much about either one. Which one will work best with this lens? I don't use my D7100 for much of anything, but...
