203/365.....off Fingal Head

One of my fave spots on the coast. Sat today and watched a humpback whale (thru binoculars) tail thumping and breaching. We usually also see dolphins, but today I think was a little too rough in close to the headland for them. It's just a lovely spot and the sky was also lovely.

About an hours drive across to the coast and some of the best beaches ie not too many people most days (weekend & public hols get busy tho). I love the headland tho. There are maybe 5 great headlands like this one along the coast locally. Spoilt for choice really but this one is my fave

206/365....snake eyes

I think it's a young red-bellied black snake. Very unusual to see them in winter. I had to tickle him with a grass stalk to get him to shift so I could see his head. Just as well he was docile as they are venomous, although not deadly

Yes,.... thanks Mai. I cropped it off to get rid of some grass stalks and rubbish. Should have taken it a little more to get rid of that green bit

"old bomb" needs a new paint job, strange to see the front windows opening out.

They are what they called "split screen" or "safari" windows, and were on Kombi's from the 60's. It was fully restored believe it or not. The paint job was cleverly done to look like it was all rusty. It is a single cab and had a Fiat 500 in the back
