Thanx I will have to try nighttime city lights and landscapes again when it isn't covered in smoke :) It was fun but so much walking in the heat and the heavy heavy smoke not so much. I feel awful for my animals because my throat and eyes still rough today even though smoke is clearing

Still fires burning and yesterday we woke up to the twilight zone. Dark and when you looked outside it was yellow very very dark and yellow then got darker and orange. Down in town it was blacker than the darkest night at 10am But a got some showers

for this day and age your kids are getting one heck of a learning experience. Love mom's look in pic #2. It is still a wonder to me to see an animal up and around in so little time after birth. Looks like you are getting a little weather to help with the fires.

He is adorable and mom and Grandma are both so friendly that he is a snuggle bug that seeks out attention as well :)
My first try at the horrid selfie

I have been actually trying to take photos not just the quick snaps I've posted on this page so far
So some kids and critters B&W's

The last photo I really like and when I printed it 5x7 for my son you can really read his shirt but for some reason not terribly clear when i posted here. Anyways the shirt is the 4-H motto "Learn to do by doing" which I think makes the photo.

Now back to my attempts to capture the little guy :) Good grief I remember once someone posting a comment about another cute animal snapshot and all I have to say is grab a camera and try to capture a cute animal shot without a whole lot of patience!! They never pose for you and if they do they always pick the most terribly lit spot with the worst distractions!
DSC_5716.jpg DSC_5746.jpg DSC_5772.jpg DSC_5800.jpg DSC_5824.jpg
Getting down to eye level is fun with this guy yah I laid in goose poop to capture him having a nap
DSC_5894.jpg

Oh man I had to snap this shot of Hamlet (pig) after the hours of trying to capture him with my son! We're almost at Fair time and good grief this pig does not understand proper posing in good light, teeny tiny ear covered eyes so catch light are never going to happen. Use treats to bribe hahaha kid ends up covered in snout prints and knocked to ground while pig runs off after promptly inhaling treats like well a pig.... Yep working with animals when you need the shot is a serious lesson in patience! My daughter on the other hand had her horse leadlined and her rabbit in the other hand 2 shots (1 extra just in case) perfect lighting great pose done. Moral of my story need a good animal picture work with horses and bunnies LOL

Fancy new lawn ornaments nope it's Bacon and Bits snoozing in the shade of my tree :)

Yah ewww right

So I saw this over the pig fence my son cleaning out the pool and thought well if I go in and walk to the front I can get a great shot of Hamlet in the mud and my son filling his water (need lots of photos of kids with their project animal). Yah I open that gate and that pig launched itself into the air spinning mid air and hit the ground running straight for me filthy gooey snout is all I could see ahhh My son laughed for days at how quick I moved
DSC_4179.jpg
See would have been much better if I could have looked straight at them and actually had son in photo

Instead I high tailed it out, pig went back to mud while still watching to see if I'd come in again so he could greet me....
DSC_4182.jpg
He's just a little too friendly and free with that snout not mention the thought of ending up in muck with my camera in my hand
