Same shot but the difference is that the lighthouse and the visitors center are decorated for Christmas.

I am very happy with how this came out. Shot with Nikon D7000 and Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM using a tripod.

View attachment 22033[/QUOI WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE VISITORS CENTER WITH SOME OF THE LIGHTING TURNED OFF/DOWN, XMAS STUFF IS LOST TO ME. STICK SOME COLORED BULBS IN, RED WOULD BE NICE. :)

This is a public building and they decide on the color scheme and lighting. I took this after they were closed. I respect your opinion but still like it the way it is.

I mentioned a few posts back that a credit union contacted me about using some of my pictures on their Facebook website. I sent them some last night and the first one showed up today on the site. This is the picture that was chosen for the first picture. These are shrimp boats that were decorated for a boat parade and docked in the marina. They will be using more pictures of mine as they change it out every few months.

OK.....although it's a great picture, I have one small complaint about it. That tree is tilted to the right! :) Other than that, I like it. :)

Jack, I wasn't going to mention it but I guess I need to get in touch with them and mention it so they can do a better job when they put it up next year!!! LOL I would also like to thank you guys for the congratulations. Its a great feeling when there are people that like your work well enough to ask for permission to use it in their businesses.

A pathway to the Smokies. This was taken in Cades Cove near Pigeon Forge, Tn. I would like to add that this was taken with my Nikon D90 and my Nikon 18-200 VR

I like that one a lot. I just don't know what I like better..... the fence or the mountains.

Ted, I think that the fence adds a lot to this picture. If I would have taken it from the other side and left it out it would ruined this picture. By having the fence in the shot it gives it depth and just makes this picture for me. Thanks for taking a look and leaving your comment.

Thanks Pat, for your comment also.

Jeff, you are absolutely right on the depth... sometimes hard to find that object in an open expanse... I have used a solo tree or even a large rock... your fence does it even better...

I photographed a White Egret late this afternoon as the sun was going down from several hundred feet away.

Nikon D7000 with a Nikon 70-200VR F2.8 lens with a Nikon 2X 20E III teleconverter this was shot at the equivalent of 600mm.
