My wife and I were watching the nesting box at her family cabin yesterday morning, and we were treated to seeing three baby Mountain Bluebirds fledge from the nest.

A jump and soar out on to the rocks.
Dad was there right away to keep a watch
Mom was there seconds later and kept watch from above
Soon, another jumped out. Looking pretty confident.
Clumsy fliers, but they were able to fly up into a branch and hang out together for a bit

I've noticed newly fledged birds of various types that tend to cling to the side of the tree instead of landing on a branch. They seem to outgrow the habit pretty quickly.
