We've started seeing the common house geckos here in South Carolina lately. In fact, a couple days ago, I walked out on the front porch and witnessed a geckogeddon (Hint, do a search for "Llamageddon".). OK, it was just a handful, but since I saw one last year for the first time, it rather seemed like a lot of them.

Since hurricane Andrew ( a bunch of exotic reptiles were inadvertently released then ) in the Everglades area and a bit north of there... A few decades of any exotic released here in Florida results in an invasion... and they've been creeping further and further north each year here... We now have an explosion of exotics, that just a few years ago were only seen in regulated stores and zoos...I imagine, you're going to see the same increases as we have here...
