Its sunday I am feeling a bit lazy...

Banana Still Life...

These were all shot with my $50 Tamron I am still playing with its Macro function and the 300mm end of the zoom, I have definitely learned that the marco end of things is better off the tripod. I love the bokeh the lens has. Plus the price was really good. So its a keeper at least till I get the Nikkor I want.

Thank you Helene I am humbled and honored with you saying that, I am not sure I am worthy of your accolades as I have viewed your works and they are very lovely. I am very appreciative of your kind words.

There are so many talented people who post here and display their works. I enjoy looking at everyones photography.

Thank you Helene , you are very gracious I am honored and unworthy of your kind compliments. I agree Faith is very adorable and she loves attention. She is getting worse than my dogs.

I had to go out today, that gave me the opportunity to shoot some photos in the area

One of the wind farms in the area...

Since I was in the area I shot another photo using my 70-300 zoom of the Pinto Totem for those interested in the Native American Totems I posted earlier..

An old decaying store building it caught my eye as I was driving so I stopped and shot this I loved the textures of the old building

I went to the Wichita National Wildlife Refuge today and photographed some of the scenery and animals. On the way I went through the Blue Canyon Wind Farm

The Wichita Refuge

This structure resides on the Wichita refuges I am not sure what it is used for I refer to it as The Keep as it reminds me of a medieval keep..

Photographs shot from within Medicine Park. Medicine Park at one time was a very popular resort with celebrities and wealthy people in the 20's and 30's. Machinegun Kelly used it as a hide out along with a few other 30's era gangsters. Today it is home to numerous music and arts festivals and has a thriving artist community.

Well today there have been wildfires burning all around my homestead. I shot these from the backyard. These are locations which are less than 1/2 mile from my house and in some of the images just a few hundred yards away. The wind has been keeping it from my home and blowing it to the north and east of me.

I had a VA appointment today and much to my surprise since my last visit they had covered the whole 10 acre parking lot with a solar panel array. This is what green energy looks like from the underside. I loved the lines and the symmetry.
