The area I took this image, in Murrieta, is near the mountain range where a lot of farms are located. This was right next to a goat pen. This coyote ran across the street and down into a dry creek bed. The house on the other side of the bridge over the dry bed owns the goat farm. It is massive and has peacocks and bunnies in their yard. Although, I don't know how they keep those when there are coyotes in the area.
The field that this coyote ran out of, had several others coyotes walking around in it. The town of Murrieta is well developed with lots of subdivisions. This area is a little more rural but not far from suburban life.
We have them here in Lake Elsinore as well. We are close to the Elsinore mountains and have a lot of equestrian folk with large estates and lots of undeveloped property. We also have the poppy preserve in Walker Canyon. "There's coyotes in them there hills."
