The Strasburg offers one of the finest and authentic ride experiences in the east -- just a wonderful property. We've ridden it several times, but have never had the time to see the nearby Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Thanks for the photos Alan!

You need to take time for the museum. It is a great experience. I have a bunch of shots from there as well.

Also have you been to this one? Steam Into History – Steam Train Attraction – New Freedom, PA

I've not heard of the Northern Central at New Freedom, PA. A full scale replica of a Civil War-era 4-4-0 is unusual to say the least -- very cool! Many years ago there used to be a fine local hobby shop there, but it's now closed along with so many others.

It was opened for the Gettysburg 150th anniversary. It is the same line Lincoln used to get to Gettysburg and I believe the repo is of the engine used then. They do a lot of history trips including Lincoln visits from time to time.

Also the TV show of Western legends and lies used film of the engine on their show when they needed it. It was funny to see the same train in different episodes of the show

Saw this guy yesterday afternoon. Eastbound CSX inter-modal in a hurry into Fostoria Ohio, he's about to cross the NS diamond. Second engine in line is an honorary steam engine.
