Instead of chemicals, you might try ladybugs; they thrive on aphids if you can get them introduced.

Good luck with whatever method you prefer!

Yes, thanks for the ladybugs info. My daughter has said the same. The problem is finding them... and then keeping them at the right place. I certainly won't abuse the bug-killer solution and my girlfriend is very anti-pesticide, so we will just try not to let them get the whole plant.

Thanks again.

You're welcome, Marcel.

I've purchased ladybugs at botanical nurseries in the past, but those are getting difficult to find around here. And yes, the ladybugs tend to fly away from where I want them to stay.

Another way to control aphids is the use of an insecticidal soap, and you can either purchase it (ex: Safer brand) or make your own. If you want to make your own, look up recipes on the internet, but be certain that you use either pure soap or nearly pure soap or you run the risk of damaging your plants. You can likely find videos on youtube concerning making and using it.

Good luck with getting rid of those pests; your efforts will most likely be worth it!

Especially like the first image, Marcel.

What's up with the EXIF in your first shot? It is missing the Capture Date and the Exposure Compensation. Did you remove that info from the EXIF data, or is it a forum glitch?

We had a photo club outing last weekend to a wonderful place. Bic provincial park is near Rimouski, QC and has very nice viewpoints and landscapes. Here are just a few shots that I quickly processed last night when I got back.

A few more from our outing. So many shots that I have a hard time choosing which ones I prefer... :)
