I posted this in the weekly challenge in B&W. I like this color version better.

I went to shave this morning, and this tiny little fellow was trapped in the bathroom sink.

Taken with the Nikon 28-105mm half macro lens with the Raynox D250 attached . Used my Neewer flash with the flip down diffuser. Would have been better without the white sink, but oh well.

Well, the little fella was still in the sink from this morning , so I got him out and took a few shots on my computer desk before he flew off to freedom. He's on the ceiling now. I thought about taking him outside, but there are a lot of spider webs out and I'm afraid he wouldn't last long.
He'll be my little indoor macro bug, and I'll name him Bob!
I hope he can find something to eat because I ain't feeding him.

Took a 10 second exposure shot in near dark tonight, by my favorite spot on the river.
Fall is IMO the best time to take shots at this spot, but since I have not done a long exposure here, I gave it a shot!

Also took a Pano shot of the sunset tonight. Wasn't much of a sunset, because there were a lot of black clouds, but I managed a few shots regardless.

Decided to go for a little hike today.
97 degrees out. Hike didn't last long!:hurt: Just a few dragonflies and a couple of butterflies.

I found a little gem through the blades of grass while chasing a cricket with the 200-500mm lens. Did I mention it was like 95 degrees out?::what::

Mustered up a Pano shot as well today!

Not sure which crop I like better. More sky less land or vica versa.

One more. My favorite shot of the day, even though I blew the highlights on the front of the blade of whatever vegetation it is. I just like the OOF background and the over all feel and colors.

The shot I took before this one looked a little under exposed, so I bumped the EV about a 1/3rd which turned out to be too much, when the sun peaked through the clouds at the moment I took the shot.
I was able to recover the highlight on the blue part of the wing, but it was just blown on the vegetation.

Here is the shot on Flickr if anyone wants to see the full rez version. https://www.flickr.com/photos/117211217@N08/28094438405/in/dateposted-family/

I like the crop of the second image only because the horizon falls more closely to the rule of thirds. That said, something about the first image gives me pause. It might be because I don't see in 3-D, and the closest foreground (and the tall blade of grass on the right) give the first image even more depth. It almost appears 3-D to me. Plus the tree on the left in the first image gives a little feeling of framing that side. Nice, Pete!

So if you entered a staring contest with that fly, which one of you would win? Lol! ;)
