Came across a heard of young elk, but only had time for a few shots, this is the best of them.

the other side of the coin on jacks statement is that I like it. . . sometimes a photo doesn't necessarily have to look like a photo. I myself like to "over do it" on PS and photomatix most of the time lol. there's that creative element in all of us. thanks for sharing.

I'm not afraid . . . YOU WILL BE. . . YOU WILL BE. . .

It is a mind challenge, at first glance - head scratch huh? then it sucks you in and makes the mind want to know what it is so it pulls all the tiny details it can out, like a puzzle.
I like it.

Lol What a great range of comments! This was meant to be something off beat for my usual style, and I created it for a template as a mothers day card for a friend of mine. Since my mom has been gone for many years, and I always make my own birthday/Christmas/etc cards, I was asked to make a mothers day card because my friends and family enjoy the originality of a personal design. I will finish with the printing and post the final image. Please let me know what you think of it!!

So this is a general idea of what my card will look like, I paste the photo to folded specialty card paper, that I print personal sayings, kind of like a hallmark card.

Great work Kim.
The only thing that tickles me a little is the second part of the text. Since all of us only have one Mom, I just question the use of the plural. I would feel the card to be more personal if it said:
"To the greatest Mom".

There isn't a mom in the world that wouldn't love that photo, especially if they realized it was a rendered photo and not a drawing. I love creative stuff like that. It would be a cool idea to put a small photo of the original inside the card also. Just a thought.

And for the redneck moms...

Add a coupon for a free beer! :)

(These thought are worth exactly what they cost.)

Marcel. I agree with you, but this card is going to be posted to all my girlfriends in general on FB, the individual ones for my friends are indeed singular.

OK...THIS is great! Now it has meaning, it has function! Great use of your rendering. But I stand by what I said before, that on its own, it looked washed out. It was not meant to criticize, it was just MY opinion. Love ya, Kimmie! :)

Ah… So it's all good then Kim. I really like the mood you've created in this shot. Sometimes it pays to go the road less traveled. ;)
