Sounds NICE! Would you believe the grip on the D610 is slightly larger front to back than the D750? I wonder which one the D500 is closer to? Seeing as I am not going to get a D500, I will just have to keep wondering. ;)

I thought the grip on the D610 was the same as the D7100? I can wrap more of my fingers around the 750 and 500 than my 7100.

So please answer this question for me; Is this the "D400" people wanted so much? I'm thinking that I may trade my D7100 for a D750 this weekend, and eventually replace the D7100 with the D500 if I'm ever compelled to go DX again.

I would say yes - why Nikon classifies this as an enthusiast body is beyond me...it's a solid camera. I now have all three - D750, D500, and the D7100 and the D7100 is short lived in my bag (giving it to my daughter for birthday)...I'll get a serious test on the D500 in the next few days but until then....the cat pic I promised! :D

Yes. It has the physical autofocus and speed abilities, on top of that they threw the technological sink at it. This will pair perfectly with the D750. I can't wait till the first race I can make it to.

Well, there's good news in my having to wait for my D500. Over the weekend I got the 10% Reward Card from B&H that came with my Sigma 150-600mm Sport purchase, and since I have not yet been charged for the D500 they allowed me to apply it to my order so it just got $179.90 "cheaper".
