My one & only reptile photo. Found him laying in the sun atop a juniper bush on a cool morning. Small guy about the size of a number 2 pencil & about 3 times that long. He was very tolerant of me & my camera. That is until he reached his operating temperature. Then he was gone in a flash.

Immature Basiliscus vittatus.. striped or brown basilisk ,,some feral in FL , I dont think its normally in Tenn.

Thanks Stosh. I was thinking it was a Basilisk, but it just didn't look like the ones I'm use to seeing.

PS - I think Pete was joking...

guessing 2ft long, with his head in he was longer than my camera and 500mm lens extended.

Just a bit of shooting around my parent's house this afternoon, after I had my chores done, of course... ;)

This anole was one of a very few that didn't run away as I approached. He obviously has an attitude!!
