Post your Train shots!

Spent an hour yesterday just north of Spartanburg, SC at Beaumont. The train appeared out of nowhere -- no noise, no horn, no nothing. I had to run like heck to get the second photo, so didn't have time to compose it as I'd have liked.

Went out yesterday and caught NS Train 338 and a ballast train at Simpson, SC. This is a north <=> south railroad, so the sun is always in the wrong place for northbounds like these. As usual, I missed the often-elusive morning southbound. I wish they'd have parked that yellow grader elsewhere.

This only had one side on a rail, the other side was in the dirt/sand

Six handheld shots stitched - a little bit of distortion, but you get idea of how long it is.

Took a day off from work and had good fortune finding trains. It was a lovely spring day in the Carolinas. First was the elusive morning southbound on NS that I'd been hoping to capture for over a year on this bridge. The lighting is perfect at this spot for several hours in the morning, then it's gone. To finally get the shot made me a happy Nikonite. The other was a CSX westbound popping out under an NS branchline bridge.
