It's just an inexpensive one the wife bought me.....probably to get me out of the house more often. LOL
MOONTOP MT 9916 2.4G 4CH RC Quadcopter with 2.0MP HD Camera 6 Axis Gyro 3D Flip Fly UFO-30.99 and Free Shipping| GearBest.com
It's been kind of fun......very small and light and with it quite hard to control. LOL I'm getting better at it and with getting better I've been looking at getting something far nicer.
Buy Phantom 3 Advanced | DJI Store
The video and pics this things can take are excellent. You can actually control it also. The camera is on a gimbal so it's really steady. There are people that have taken 2-3 second city pics at night it's so steady. I've read and read and read and sub $1000 everyone says this is the one to get.
Everyone also says that their customer support sucks and more regulations on flying these are coming along all the time.
Mine has a 7 minute tops flying time but so far about 2 minutes is the best I can get out of a video because of how difficult it is to control. It gets out of range and shuts off. The good thing is it can fall out of the sky at 100 feet and not break a thing.
Not so with the DJI.....it's flight time is 23 minutes but it's a useful 23 minutes.
Very cheap latest purchase !
Looking to go and shoot some airplanes soon so want to get some video footage at the same time, this will enable me to add the go-pro to the top of the camera

Nice,
They are fun!!! I picked up a Syma X5C a while back and been flying it... similar to yours, just a tad larger. Check online, there may be an easy mod to improve range... I just added some length to my antenna to make it a half wave (2.46" Total) and easily doubled mine.
Just picked up the Phantom 3 Standard yesterday, price dropped to 499.

Very nice unit. Had a chance to fly it yet? Do you have the Geo Fence mess to deal with or have you been able to avoid it? (If not sure what I am talking about read up before updating any software)
The Phantom 3 Standard is relatively a heck of a deal at the $499 price drop. I just get myself too confused. LOL
I'm looking at the Yuneec Typhoon now also. What is holding me back there is the DJI will allow you to take photos in RAW where the Yuneec won't. I kind of like the Yuneec's built in screen though.
The one I have is just way too small to extend further. I had it over my head yesterday to where I could barely see it. Still wasn't actually that high.
True... My little guy has dropped right on the pavement!Mine has dropped out of the sky more than once and not a single thing has broke. It's so light that it just sort of floats down. Unfortunately these bigger drones won't do that. LOL
Have fun figuring out how to use flash. I feel for you. :loyal:
And here I thought with you extended practice with yours, you would be able to guide me along the way. Hmmmm! Now what to do?![]()
Yep! Wayne is the Flash man for sure. I have picked his brain on this before. Actually I read his reviews and much of his guides he has written. Good stuff, but I have to read, reread, reread again and then try to digest it. Ha!!
Here is my latest purchase....
Phantom 3 Standard, also ordered a 2nd battery which is on the way!! (Already FAA Registered)
